For $160K, a renovated Pingree Park home

If the listings we’ve seen in recent weeks are any indication, we might be in for a wild spring real estate season here in Detroit. Of course, what the houses end up selling for is a different story. Earlier this week we saw a lovely house in Morningside list for $195K; many agreed that the house was gorgeous, but that price was a little too high. Now we have a renovated home in Pingree Park that’s also move-in ready, and asking $160,000.

It’s located on Burns Street, a few blocks up from Mack, across from Pingree Park. Google Maps shows the house looking to be in pretty rough shape a few years ago. The house has four bedrooms, two baths, shiny hardwood floors, new plumbing and electrical, a new roof and windows, and a backyard that needs landscaping. There’s definitely a need for move-in ready houses in the city; how much do you think this one could snag? It’s listed through Gordon Hawkins at Hawkins Realty Group.
