Welcome to this week’s installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals within $100 of today’s price: $1,700.

Rent is $1,695 per month for this 1,800-square-foot house. It’s close to New Center, MoGo Bike Share, Midtown, and the Boston-Edison neighborhood.

Coming in at 750 square feet, this Midtown loft is smaller in size, but big on convenience. It’s right in the middle of many restaurants and shops, and close to the Qline. It has high ceilings, big windows, and exposed brick, plus indoor parking. It’s renting for $1,700 per month, plus electricity, cable, and internet.

1722 Parker Street

This two bedroom, two bath upper flat is located in West Village, close to restaurants and Belle Isle. It has a spacious living room, dining room, and kitchen; central air; and laundry available in the basement. This unit is also pet friendly and renting for $1,700 per month, parking is extra.

735 Griswold

For a downtown option, here’s a two bedroom, one bath sub-lease at the Security Trust Building. It’s located near Capitol Park and Campus Martius, close to everything downtown. It’s coming in at 1,440 square feet, with free heat and laundry in unit and gym membership. Pets are negotiable. Rent is $1,795 per month.

1022 18th Street

Last is a three bedroom, two and a half bath townhouse in Southwest Detroit. This unit has a fireplace, a balcony, and an attached garage. It’s close to Ste. Anne’s Church, Honey Bee Market, and Corktown. Pets are not allowed here. Rent is $1,700, plus gas and electric.
