Source: Curbed Detroit
Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, where we look at different homes in various Detroit neighborhoods all within the same price range. This week, we’re looking at houses within $10,000 of our price range: $130,000.
First up is this three-bedroom, one-bath brick colonial in Rosedale Park. The 1,320-square-foot house has dark floors, a newer kitchen, a finished basement, and a balcony overlooking the backyard. Also find a detached garage. It’s located in northwest Detroit, near the Southfield Freeway, and close to shops and restaurants in Grandmont-Rosedale.
Over in Morningside, here’s a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath home in our price range. It has shiny hardwood floors, a new kitchen, carpeted bedrooms, and a basement for storage. It has a fenced backyard with a garage on a corner lot. This house is located near Grosse Pointe, close to all the east side parks and shopping.
In Elmwood Park closer to downtown, here’s an 850-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bath condo. It has a newer kitchen, A/C, assigned parking, and a basement for storage. HOA fees run $186 per month and include water and exterior maintenance. It’s located close to Belle Isle, Mt. Elliott Park, and Harbortown, just a couple miles outside of downtown.
Our last home takes us to the Aviation Sub, right on the border of Dearborn. This little brick house has a new kitchen, two first floor bedrooms, an upstairs that looks like it’s straight out of the ‘70s, a basement for storage, and a fenced backyard. It’s close to many Dearborn restaurants.
