Where to watch Detroit’s 2018 Ford Fireworks

June 25th

The 60th annual Ford Fireworks are scheduled on Monday night, June 25 at 9:55 p.m., and we're here to help you find the right place to watch them. As always, the fireworks are over the Detroit River, so rooftop decks or riverfront parks are good bets. If you don't have friends in high places (or buildings) in the city, there are options. Here's a map of ideas ranging from free to fancy.

A few notes:

  • Hart Plaza and Belle Isle are the busiest places to be for the fireworks. If you plan on going to either, make sure to plan ahead.
  • A vintage plane flyover will happen at 7:30 p.m. over the riverfront.
  • The West Riverfront park will host the L.I.T.E Fest—Lead, Innovate, Thrive, and Elevate. This will be for 2,000 Detroit-area students and family. Big Sean is a sponsor and he’ll also be at the event.
